Lead in the air? Recycling and contamination at Sebikotane (Senegal)

Based on our research into the recovery and processing of car batteries in Senegal, I propose delving into the urban mine by examining the circulation of lead. Our goal is to document the effectiveness of dismantling techniques and trace the profitable circulation of toxic materials. We will analyse the territories they transform, the value they create, the logistics they establish, the conflicts they provoke, and the soil, air, and bodies they contaminate.
