Jin Wang is a PhD Candidate in Art History at CUNY Graduate Center, specializing in modern and contemporary art and architecture in the global context and from the persective of transcultural and intercultrual exchanges. She is interested in global socialist art and architecture, decolonial and postcolonial theories and practices, and Afro-Asia at large. Her dissertation focuses on aesthetics of Afro-Asia and socialist realism between Egypt and China in the Cold War period. She has taught at Baruch College and Brooklyn College and held fellowships at Lehman College and the Amie and Tony James Gallery. She previously worked in various art institutions including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Cleveland Musuem of Art, Grey Art Gallery, International Studio and Curatorial Programs, among others. She received her BA in Art History and MA in Museum Studies from New York University.
