Ute Fendler holds the chair of Romance and Comparative Studies at the University of Bayreuth since 2006. Regional focus: West Africa, Indian Ocean, Caribbean, South America. Research interests: Intermediality, Transdisciplinary Approaches, African Film studies, popular cultures.
