Derek Sheridan

Derek Sheridan is an Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica. He studies China-Africa relations, migration, and the ethics/politics of global inequality. His first book, currently in preparation, is an ethnography of how Chinese migrants and ordinary Tanzanians have come to depend on each other for their livelihoods within an uneven and hierarchical global political economy.
