Shinichi Takeuchi

Shinichi Takeuchi is the director of the African Studies Center at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Having received a Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, he has carried out research in the field of politics in local resource management in Central African countries, including Rwanda, Burundi, and DR Congo. His edited books include Confronting Land and Property Problems for Peace (Routledge, 2014) and African Land Reform Under Economic Liberalisation - States, Chiefs, and Rural Communities (Springer, 2021).
