My name is Ramprasad Meena. I’m from Rajasthan, India. I’m currently enrolled in a PhD program in the Department of History, Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. My research title is “History of Tiger Conservation in India” (1936-2010). I am also a senior research fellow of University Grant Commission, New Delhi. My other research interests include social history of the tribal people, wildlife conservation, ecological history and regional history of Rajasthan. I grew up in nature, in the mountains and forests of the Aravalli hill ranges. Natural conservation and wildlife protection are my passion beside research work and I try a lot to contribute in this field. I received this inspiration from My father who is also a local conservationist in Sariska tiger reserve.
