Eva Froneberg is a research associate and PhD Fellow at the Centre for Conflict Studies at the Philipps University Marburg
in Germany. Her research investigates the role of higher education in peacebuilding and reconciliation processes with a
regional focus on Southeast Asia. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a tutor and lecturer on the Bachelor of Security
Studies at Leiden University for over two years. Prior to this she worked with the Asia Regional Team at Search for Common
Ground in Washington, D.C., and spent a year in Bangladesh as a World Teach Fellow at the Asian University for Women. She
holds a social sciences master’s degree in the field of Peace and Conflict research from Uppsala University in Sweden, and a
BA in International Affairs from Vesalius College in Belgium.
