Manasee is an Indian-Australian educator, interdisciplinary practitioner, and researcher, teaching and working in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).
Her research interests include socially engaged practice, collaborative-autoethnography and material practices within a decolonised feminist framework.
In her classroom, she likes collaborating with students through dialogue and critique, while also encouraging them to develop lines of inquiry and personal narratives through diversity in making and design thinking.
In her studio practice, she explores these contexts through 2D and 3D mediums, including printmaking, papier-mâché, and collaborative work with fellow artists and designers in other mediums.
Currently, Manasee is doing her PhD exploring 'making' autoethnography while exploring socially engaged collaborations with craft communities in India. In the immediate past, she has had exhibitions of her prints and public installations in both Melbourne and India.
