Invited professor at Eduardo Mondlane University (Plant-Microbe Interactions and Systems Biology, master’s in biotechnology) and Gorongosa National Park (Molecular Biology, Master in Conservation Biology), Mozambique. National Contact Point of the High-Level Policy Dialogue EU/Africa on Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture. Main area of activity: Characterization, conservation, monitoring and management of agro-forestry resources: (i) biodiversity; (ii) plant-environment interactions; (iii) ethnobotany; (iv) human development; (v) institutional and capacity building. Strongly engaged in partnerships with African institutions, e.g., Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund/Partnership for Applied Sciences, Engineer and Technology (RSIF/PASET); Regional Post-Graduate Training School on Integrated Management of Tropical Forests and Lands (ERAIFT); CGIAR; Agrinatura; Miombo Network of Southern Africa; Environmental Network of PT-speaking countries/REALP; UNESCO Chair EDUWELL; several mobility schemes, such as Erasmus.
