Dr. Cha-Hsuan Liu is an Associate Professor at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and an interdisciplinary scholar. She began her career in medical technology before transitioning to healthcare administration and health psychology. She holds a PhD in Migration and Ethnic Relations from Utrecht University, where she focused on healthcare disparities among ethnic minorities.
Her expertise spans healthcare, education, social policy, and innovation. She has held teaching positions at several prestigious institutions, including Utrecht University and Leiden University, and is an Affiliated Fellow at the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS) in Leiden. Her research emphasizes global health, humanistic approaches to care and healing, and the societal and cultural determinants of health, while critically examining Western-centric paradigms. She leads the international network Healing through Humanity, which organizes a full-day program at AA3 Confest in Senegal.
Beyond academia, Dr. Liu is a sought-after public speaker and consultant committed to inclusive prosperity and sustainable development. She actively supports cross-border community initiatives, including arts-based programs for children and marginalized groups. Her TEDx talk and international lectures reflect her dedication to cross-cultural understanding. Through her work, she bridges disciplines to address complex societal challenges and promote global well-being.
